Mim As Sakin
Rules of Mim Sakin ميم ساکن کے قوانین
Mim Sakinah has three rules:
1) Al- Ikhfaa’
2) Al- Idghaam
3) Al- Izhar
1) Ikhfaa’ As-Shafawi(اخفاء الشفوي)
- Al-Ikhfaa’ As-Shafawi as it is called, has only one letter and that is Baa (ب). If the letter Baa comes after Mim Sakinah (the Mim at the end of a letter and the Baa at the first of the leading word) Al-Ikhfaa’ As-Shafawi with Ghunna is found.
- Examples of Ikhfaa' (As-Shafawi):
2) Idghaam Al-Mithlain (ادغام المثلين)
- It has only one letter which is Mim (م). When a Mim with Sukoon (at the end of a word)and a Tashkeel (at the beginning of the leading word) meet, Idgham with ghunnah appears.
- Examples of Idghaam Al-Mithlain (ادغام المثلين):
3) Izhar As-Shafawi (اظهار الشفوي)
- All the letters after taking out the letter Baa (from Ikhfaa' As-Shafawi) and the letter Mim (from Idgham Al-Mithlayn) are the letters of Izhar As-Shafawi and they are 26. So if any of the 26 letters appear after Mim Sakinah in one word or two words, Izhar formed. Take into account at the place of Mim Sakinah with the letter Waw (و) and Faa (ف) to emphasize the Mim so as not to confuse the listener that one may have recited it, like reciting when there is letter Baa.
- Examples of Izhar As-Shafawi:
